    Day 01   U.S.A - Lisbon (Portugal)

     

    Overnight trans-Atlantic flight to Lisbon.

     

    Day 02   Lisbon

     

    Afternoon arrival, begin our exciting city tour from the airport. Our first stop is the Monument to the Discoveries, the medieval quarter Vasco da Gama’s Tomb inside the Hieronymite Monastery, and views of the Belem Tower. From here, we can have a glimpse of the Bridge of the 25th April, the beautiful suspension bridge across the River Tagus. Later, time at leisure, perhaps to shop for pottery, cork and fishermen’s sweaters in the nearby fishing village of Cascais.

     

    Day 03   Lisbon - Sintra - Cape St. Vincent - Faro – Tavira

     

    An after breakfast drive proceed to Sintra Palace, one of the most important examples of regal architecture in Portugal and for that reason is classified as a National Monument. This afternoon we will discover the Sagres Peninsula, here we admire the view across the wild beauty of Baleeira Beach and continue to Cape St. Vincent, an obligatory landmark to any ship travelling to the Mediterranean. Overnight at the beautiful beach resort Tavira.

     

    Day 04   Tavira - Seville (Spain)

     

    Today we drive across the Portuguese border and proceed to Seville, the capital of Andalusia. This grand city is steeped in Moorish history which reflects in its architecture and culture. Upon arrival, will visit the Gold Tower, Christopher Columbus’ tomb and the Cathedral; we also see the pools and fountains of Maria Luisa Park. Tonight, why not try a little Spanish passion at a fiery Flamenco show?

     

    Day 05   Seville – Granada

     

    This morning we continue amid the superb scenery of the Sierra Nevada with mountain views on all sides as we bound to glorious Granada. In the afternoon, visit the city’s main attraction, the exquisite Alhambra Palace. This mighty yet graceful citadel was planned by the 13th century Moorish ruler Al Ahamar.

     

    Day 06   Granada - Toledo – Madrid

     

    Today we drive north towards the capital of Spain, Madrid. Before arrival, we will enjoy an excursion to Toledo, the ancient capital of Castile. Here sightseeing includes a visit to the Synagogue, the Church of Santo Tome and a Toledo steel workshop. Later tonight, we arrive in Madrid.

     

    Day 07   Madrid

     

    Our morning sightseeing tour takes us to the Puerta del Sol, Cibeles Fountain, Gran Via and the Cervantes Monument on the Plaza Espana. Free leisure in the afternoon, you can explore the Retiro Park and visit the famous Prado Museum at your own expense.

     

    Day 08   Madrid – Valencia

     

    Morning drive to Valencia, once a royal capital and today as a sunny garden with surrounded olive trees and orange groves. It is also famous for its agriculture products. Here we see the Town Hall, the Bull Ring, the Towers of Serrano and Cuarte and the Cathedral. Tonight we will enjoy the famous Spanish fest “Paella” seafood dinner.

     

    Day 09   Valencia – Barcelona

     

    An after breakfast drive towards the cosmopolitan capital of Catalonia, Barcelona. Today’s sightseeing takes us to the Gothic Quarter with its impressive Cathedral. We also see Gaudi’s ‘Sagrada Familia’ plus many of his other eccentric architectural masterpieces. Later, we view the Christopher Columbus Monument and the lively Ramblas with its open-air markets.

     

    Day 10   Barcelona

     

    Today we continue explore this second-largest city by first visiting Montjuic Olympic Grounds, where is the 1992’s Olympic event taking place. We then proceed to Poble Espanyol, the famous Spanish Village, which laid out for the 1929’s World Exhibition; it displays the building styles which are typical of the various provinces of Spain. Our next visit point is the Picasso Museum, which locates at the one of the most picturesque of the narrow streets in the old town.

     

    Day 11   Barcelona - U.S.A.

     

    It's ‘hasta la vista’ as we transfer to the airport for our return flight to America.
